Earlier this years fans of the band decided to do something proactive in an effort to see them return to Richmond, Virginia for what would be the first time since 1998 if successful. The funding target was set at $70,000 and thanks to the backing of fans and local businesses the goal was met, each backer receiving tickets to the show.

The waiting then began to see if the show would actually happen. In June the band tweeted to announce the show would be happening and today with another tweet they have confirmed the date of the special show as September 17th, taking place at The National.

All tickets for the show have already been accounted for but two local businesses, Sugar Shack Donuts and Brown’s Volkswagen each have 100 tickets to giveaway, so if you are looking for a way into the show follow them on social media to find out how they’ll be giving them away!
