Them Crooked Vultures

Simon KilmoreSimon Kilmore Skinny as a spit pan
edited January 2011 in General Discussion
So the rumours and stories of these three creating a band have been around for months, but it seems the cat is now outta the bag with this website:

http://themcrookedvultures.com/

If you check the page source, in the HTML it has the following tags:
<meta name="keywords" content="Them,Crooked,Vultures,Dave,Grohl,Josh,Homme,John,Paul,Jones" />

I really can't wait to hear what these three have come up with!

Really hoping someone tapes this. From past recordings the Metro seems like an easy venue to stealth in.

You should go Kevin. This would be EPIC to see their first show! I have been to the Metro before when I lived in Ohio too. Super cool venue. Lots of history in that place.

yeah i keep thinking about that too it being thier first show i have to decide quick though which sucks lol

i'm not sure if i have to work monday yet though, i start at 6am. if i do it'd be a close one making it back haha. but chicago is central time so they are one hour behind. so the show would start 11 pm est. so if it were like a hour and half long. that'd be 12:30 am estern time.. 4 and half hours back is 5 am estern lol would even have a few minutes to spare. im so damn tempted. it just sucks its only 2 days notice

Can't you call in sick to work just 1 day? I could but I hardly ever take days off so my boss would think I was dead or something if I called in.

It's times like these (excuse the pun!) that you need to be spontaneous and a bit crazy! Emily and Krista the same thing to go to the Dave Alley thing at the weekend and didn't regret it!

There is nothing suspicious looking on the official poster, but they could easily just turn up in a free slot and play.

The lowlands article says that a radio dj (pretty well known one) got the information from a reliable source that there playing lowlands. and looking at the way festival is scheduled right now there is still place at the Grolsch Tent.

and the Lowlands people dont deny or confirm it. so lets hope the rumour is true :P

Yeah I got that in my mail today! im gonna do best I can to get tickets :D
  • edited August 2009
I have a reservation on a youth hostel for the 19th.

I cross the fingers to fount a ticket the same day of the event at the Melkweg.

I know the Melkweg and is very cool place to see a gig and is smaller.

I don't chance my flight ticket because now is very expensive.

I'll flight from Barcelona to Brussels and later Brussels central station to Rotterdam by train(there are around 2 hours) and later Rotterdam to Amsterdam(around 1 hour).
