During the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic English drummer and YouTube personality Nandi Bushell challenged Dave Grohl to an online drum battle, initially posting a cover of the Foo Fighters song 'Everlong' on her social media channels.
Word soon reached Dave and he initially responded with a video of himself also playing 'Everlong', and then played 'Dead End Friends' by Them Crooked Vultures as a return challenge.
After meeting that challenge with her own version of the song Dave decided to show his respect to Nandi in his next video, performing an entirely new song he'd written especially for her - Theme Song for Nandi Bushell.
Dave recorded drums, guitar and vocals in his home studio and was helped by his three daughters on backing vocals.
Video of the track was first uploaded to the Foo Fighters YouTube channel on September 14th, 2020. It is not known when exactly the performance took place.
