Session Information
Ahead of their first live tour following the passing of Taylor Hawkins Foo Fighters were at their Studio 606 HQ in Los Angeles for a band practice session. Unlike the vast majority of rehearsal sessions which are private and undocumented the band hired a film crew to cover the action which would be broadcast for fans online.
The primary reason for the rare glimpse into a rehearsal session was to reveal Josh Freese as the new drummer for the band, the seasoned stick-man with a credits sheet longer than a keyboard solo at a prog rock show.
An hour of the session was broadcast in an online stream via concert streaming platform Veeps on May 21st but it's highly likely the rehearsal ran longer. A printed setlist was visible in the broadcast with many more songs listed and several cuts/cross fades are also noticeable in the video.
