Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline the main stage of the festival later in the evening but surprised fans by appearing on the smaller Channel 4 stage earlier in the afternoon, playing a short acoustic set. The band were billed as 606, which most big fans had realised would be Foo Fighters, given it was Dave’s lucky number for which he’d used among other things, to name two of their recording studios.
