The band were booked to play the secondary NME/Melody Maker tent at the festival but owing to the huge interested surrounding the “drummer from Nirvana’s” new band, the tent was extremely overcrowded. The promoter asked the band if they would go on the main stage after headliner Bjork but they declined. The performance was stopped several times to allow injured people to be removed from the crowd and Dave was also asked by security to stop and implore fans to not climb the tent poles.
