Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Nate Mendel were in Japan in April 1997 to promote their upcoming second album, 'The Color And The Shape'. Whilst Taylor Hawkins had just been hired prior to the visit he was not present in Japan, neither was Pat Smear.
The day before a planned performance inside the Toshiba EMI headquarters the pair staged a short acoustic busking performance outside the building, performing short jams for a small crowd.
